101 Rejections : A Writer's Quest For Rejection

38. NYC Midnight Famine

When I got through to the second round of the NYC Midnight 24 hr short story contest, I was chuffed about that, but today I found out that was not one of the top 4 in my second round heat and I hadn’t made it through to the final round. Ah well, there go my dreams of adding the $4k top prize to my ‘earnings’ column. I should never have worried about how I was going to fit in the final round to my busy schedule.

It was fun and I got two fairly good stories out of it. Plus, I got lovely comments from the first round. Looking forward to seeing what the judges have to say about this round.
