101 Rejections : A Writer's Quest For Rejection

22. Even More Detailed

Ha! I said it was good when that other agent gave me details about things that she felt weren’t working for her in my story.

I got another one today that was even more detailed. It didn’t feel that good. Even though, intellectually I REALLY appreciate it. Also she’d only read 50 pages. My in-house counsel reminded me that it’s just one person’s opinion and she’d only read 50 pages, which made me feel better.

I can’t face revising it just yet, so I’m going to sit on this feedback for a while and think about how I feel about it.

UPDATE: I just realized she ALSO said “it has market potential” and that, if my revisions take it in the direction she indicated, she’d invite me to resubmit. So that’s very cool.
